For New Years we were going to a friends house and we were supposed to bring an adult beverage to share. Since I had been craving an apple martini I decided to find a good recipe and make some yummy apple martini’s for everyone. I had to do a little testing to figure out which recipe I liked and I thought I’d share the winning recipe to go with my 365, day 11 shot.

So, I know that I am way behind on posting my 365’s, but I have not stopped taking pics. I just have to catch up on my editing and get them posted. Here are days 8 & 9….

On day 8 I was still feeling kind of crummy from getting carsick and having a massive headache the night before, but Eric wanted to get some snaps with the kids & their great grand parents. I set the camera controls, but had Eric actually snap the photos. :)

On day nine, I was hoping to get a little creative with this apple, but apparently wasn’t feeling it. This was the best I could muster that night.

Holy moly, I’m all kinds of behind in my postings!  I just got my photo files cleaned up and imported into Lightroom on my new hard drive a week after installing it.  Long story short, I was running out of storage room on my all four of my hard drives and Eric has been hasseling me to upgrade to Vista so we bought a 5th hard drive last week.  The day after it was installed we found out that it was a bad drive.  Thank goodness I hadn’t transferred all of my files to the new one yet.  Anyways, after we got a new hard drive that actually worked, I wanted to sort, back-up & purge my existing photo files before I imported them into Lightroom.  Ahhhhh, I feel so much better now that they are done!

Before I post my 365 pics I want to remind you to sign up for the National Charity Model Search that Cherry Street Photography is participating in. It is going on from now through February 20th so sign up today to secure your session date! These are limited sessions so please refer to the contest blog post for specifics!

K, on to my Project 365!  I thought I had been doing pretty good taking at least one picture a day, but apparently I slipped a little.  When I was finally able to look at my pictures last night I realized I missed 3 stinkin’ days!  I’m not going to fret about it though.  I’m just going to keep truckin’ along.  Maybe I’ll make some sticky notes and stick them around to remind me.  :o P

I’m spreading out my days photos so I don’t make a crazy long post.  Here are days 3, 4, 5 & 6…

Dress Up and Project-365…

January 2, 2009 | Filed Under Mindless Chatter, Personal | 1 Comment

Happy New Year!!! I hope you all had a safe & fun New Years. Sadly I was not awake at the stroke of midnight. My hubby & I were kid free, but ended up cutting our night out short due to the fact that he wasn’t feeling well. We came home, started a movie and both fell asleep within 30 min. LOL. We got to celebrate the next day with family and hubby was feeling a bunch better so we ended the new years celebration on a good note.

I wanted to explain a little about a new project I’m starting. It’s completely for me, but I’m making a public commitment in hopes that I’ll stick with it. It’s called Project 365. The goal is to record your daily life throughout the whole year with one picture a day. Now, this is not to say that I will blog everyday, but hopefully I’ll be able to blog every couple of days with the past days photos.

Here is today’s 365-2. Caitlin got make-up from her Great Granny and today was the day to get all made up apparently. Complete with a fashion show at the end. LOL. Gotta love it! She actually did pretty good. She did her make-up, hair, clothes & jewelry.

Since I started a day late, I’m including a pic taken yesterday. It wasn’t taken by me, but it documents where we were. Thanks Angela for taking this for us. :)
