Why is it that, as a photographer, it is so much harder to photograph your own children than it is someone elses? I suddenly have no patience and just expect them to get it right and to completely understand what I’m wanting them to do. Today was no different. I needed some good recent pictures of my oldest so that I could send them to grandparents and it was like pulling teeth. It went a little something like this…"stop slouching", "no, your real smile", "open your eyes", "can you not just look at the lens for 1 second!".
Good news is that today was a SUCCESS! These are probably my fave pictures of my daughter to date! Bad news is that she’s scarred for life now! Okay, I’m over dramatizing a little bit. I thanked her profusely for helping me out and she said she doesn’t want to do that again for 10 mos. LOL. So, there you go grandparents, no more pictures for 10 mos!

I am THRILLED to present my awesome new website! I am absolutely in LOVE with it. I have been working really hard on it and I hope you all like it. I feel like it compliments my work beautifully. Please take a look around and let me know what you think.
And I can’t have a post without a picture so here is my fabulous friend Stacy. She just moved to FL recently and she is an amazing photographer. We went out and took some pics of each other recently and this was one I took of her. Isn’t she gorgeous? Btw, I have one that she took of me up on my website.

I have sooooo many things that I am working on at the moment to make my business the best it can be and one of those things is a REAL website!! Woo-hoo! I can’t wait for it to be live, but for now I thought I’d just show a sneak peek. I’m still working on the logo a bit and as you can see, I have changed the "photo" part to "photography", but it is coming along nicely and I can’t wait to unveil the WHOLE thing! Stay tuned!
Beautiful Momma-to-be

I had the pleasure of photographing a gorgeous momma who was 37 weeks pregnant. She was a complete natural and had the teeniest body ever. She does not even own any maternity clothes! She was a doll and I had a blast photographing her. Thanks V! You were awesome!
Update: Three days after our shoot, Ms. V delivered a 5lb 14oz, healthy baby boy! He joins big sister M at home. Congrats to the beautiful family!
