St. Augustine wedding…

A couple of months ago I had the pleasure of second shooting a wedding with St. Augustine photographer, Dana Goodson. It was a cold & rainy FL day, but Brandon & Cheryl weren’t fazed by the outside dreariness. They were too excited to become Mr. & Mrs. to let a little weather spoil their day!
It was a gorgeous wedding at the Memorial Presbyterian Church followed by a reception at the amazing new wedding venue, River House!

Jax Shoot Club…

The sky was dark and the thunder was making it’s presence known. Not a good sign when I was about to be outside with my camera in a few hours. Luckily the clouds parted and it turned out to be a gorgeous night for the first ever Jax Shoot Club meet-up.
I have to thank the two uber talented photographers, Kara Pennington Photography & La Dolce Vita Studios, who had the great idea to start up a shoot club here in Jacksonville. They planned everything from the location & models right down to the bridal bouquets to complete the shot. There were a lot of local photographers (& some a little far from home as well) to mingle with, we had several fabulous models to shoot and equally fabulous vendors! “Team Awesome” as they affectionately referred to themselves, did an amazing job of organizing this super fun event and I very much look forward to the next one!

Lauren, our mock bride, was the first model my group shot so I have the most images of her. She was stunning and so working it for the camera! She was such a trooper!
techie talk : these two images were shot with external flash on-camera in manual mode. I’m still trying to figure out this whole flash thingy so I had fun playing and trying to get the output to look the way I wanted.

After the sky threatened our shootout with rain, mother nature ended up playing nice and giving us one wicked awesome sunset. It made for a gorgeous silhouette of our married couple, Kelly & Chris. Kelly, btw, was a real trooper as well. It’s hard work to stand & model for a million photographers while wilting in the FL heat in a heavy bridal gown, but she did a great job!

Second Shooting with Suzie | cherry street photography [love]

I can’t believe I’m just now blogging this wedding. I’ve gotten a wee bit behind in posting! I am slowly branching out into second shooting weddings and Suzie trusted me enough to hire me for her wedding in Ponte Vedra. Suzie Seagraves is a central FL photog, but the wedding was up here so she was looking for someone local to shoot with her and my name was thrown out there (thank you Melanie!). I was thrilled to be getting more experience and shooting with Suzie was a blast! Thanks Suzie!
Justin & Sarah were a super fun & adorable couple. Their wedding took place at the gorgeous Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra. The weather was threatening to disrupt our pre-wedding pics, but thankfully held off! Here are a few of the shots I got of their amazing day…
