Holy neglected blog batman!! It’s been a little while since I’ve been here, but I come bearing sweet pics of a precious baby girl if that makes up for anything.
You might remember this glowing momma2be from a previous post…

Well, their sweet baby girl finally decided to face the world! She is such a precious girl and was so good for me. Here she is making her modeling debut…

I know mommy isn’t too fond of the baby button, but I think it’s such a sweet reminder of where they came from and how they’ve been living for the past 9 months. ![]()

My morning started off like any other session morning. I got packed up and headed out toward my clients house. Unfortunately, on the way there I started feeling nauseous and by the time I realized I “should” have eaten something for breakfast, it was too late….I was already sickly. It wasn’t too bad to start with so I tried to take it easy hoping it would subside like normal. I ended up having to fess up that I wasn’t feeling well about 30 minutes after I got there. I was really worried my light headedness & nausea wouldn’t go away and I would have to reschedule our session. Which I definitely did not want to do. One of the many reasons being that Marsha had gone to the salon that morning and gotten all dolled up just for me! I’m so happy that I stuck it out because eventually my sickness started to fade and I was able to capture some great images for them. Huge thanks to Marsha & Josh who were so sweet and understanding about the whole ordeal!
It was so great seeing you guys today! I can’t wait to meet your baby girl soon!

Holy moly, I’m all kinds of behind in my postings! I just got my photo files cleaned up and imported into Lightroom on my new hard drive a week after installing it. Long story short, I was running out of storage room on my all four of my hard drives and Eric has been hasseling me to upgrade to Vista so we bought a 5th hard drive last week. The day after it was installed we found out that it was a bad drive. Thank goodness I hadn’t transferred all of my files to the new one yet. Anyways, after we got a new hard drive that actually worked, I wanted to sort, back-up & purge my existing photo files before I imported them into Lightroom. Ahhhhh, I feel so much better now that they are done!
Before I post my 365 pics I want to remind you to sign up for the National Charity Model Search that Cherry Street Photography is participating in. It is going on from now through February 20th so sign up today to secure your session date! These are limited sessions so please refer to the contest blog post for specifics!
K, on to my Project 365! I thought I had been doing pretty good taking at least one picture a day, but apparently I slipped a little. When I was finally able to look at my pictures last night I realized I missed 3 stinkin’ days! I’m not going to fret about it though. I’m just going to keep truckin’ along. Maybe I’ll make some sticky notes and stick them around to remind me.
P
I’m spreading out my days photos so I don’t make a crazy long post. Here are days 3, 4, 5 & 6…

We all say we have the cutest children, but here’s a chance to actually have bragging rights!

Headshots!
July 31, 2008 | Filed Under Biz, Business, Headshots | Leave a Comment
I’m going to be adding a headshot session to my pricelist. The headshot session is all about professional headshots! Whether you are a model, actor, realtor, business owner, etc., this is the session for you. Unfortunately due to the release of digital files this particular session is for professionals or aspiring models/actors/musicians only. If you aren’t sure whether you qualify please feel free to ask. However, I think everyone should have a great headshot of themselves so for all of those who would just like a personal headshot, I have a session for you too.
The professional headshot session is on-location only and will last approximately 45min. You may have up to 3 clothing changes during your session and you will receive 2 edited digital files of your choice. The total cost of the session plus the 2 digital files is $250.
The personal headshot session is similar to the professional session except that you will not receive edited full-sized digital files and instead you will receive a $125 print credit and 2 web-sized digital files for web use such as forums, myspace, facebook, dating sites, etc.
What is a headshot exactly? Well, a good headshot is all about the face. Simple & to the point. They are from about chest up.
Call/email today to schedule your session!
Mark + Anne (cont’d)

Since they have now seen their gallery of images I want to post some of my favorites from their session. Mark isn’t too comfortable in front of the camera, but he was trying so hard to relax and I think it shows. Especially in the first picture.

Here is Anne’s ring. Isn’t it gorgeous?! If I remember correctly Mark picked this out all by himself. I love the sapphires to add a little pop of color.

Also, do you like the rounded corners on the photos? I made myself a photoshop action from some online tutorials. Feel free to download the action here. I made it in CS2 so I have no idea if it will work in the other versions. If you have a version other than CS2 and it works for you please let me know.
Danika…Clay High, C/O 2009

I had such an easy time photographing Ms. Danika over the weekend. Her sister came along with her for support and I had my fabulous friend Stacy manning the reflector. Everyone but Danika was pooring sweat because of our glorious 90+ Florida heat. Thankfully we kept Danika blotted off and in the shade as much as possible.
Thanks for coming out and braving the heat you guys! Here is your sneak peek…

Baby K…

Okay, so let’s forget that she’s two months old now. I never showcased her newborn photos so I have to show them off. Introducing, the not-so-new-anymore-but-was-when-I-took-these, Baby K.
Introducing…Cherry Street Photo
September 24, 2007 | Filed Under Business | 2 Comments
Yay! My new blog is finally here! Katie Higginbotham Photography has undergone a name change and a face lift! My new business name is Cherry Street Photo. I still have some loose ends to tie up, but I am tired of waiting so this is where you can find me from now on.
Along with my new image I have added a section that will have prints available for purchase as well as wallpaper for your desktop. You can find available prints in the "Cherry Street Art" album in the left column.
Thanks so much for visiting and once I get my ducks in a row I’ll have my official grand opening.
I am currently taking on a limited number of sessions from now until November 17 so please contact me soon if you would like to schedule a session. Being that newborns are best photographed within their first two weeks of life I will absolutely have a few openings during my off time since they have such a short window of newborn sweetness.
P.S. Don’t forget to make a note of my new blog address!
